She outlines the importance of teaching disability rights and inclusion in school curriculum. This presentation opens a discussion about personal empowerment, the importance of disability activism and civic engagement and important aspects of the book and ends with a Q & A.

For elementary and middle school students and their caregivers

Celebrated disability rights activist Jennifer Keelan-Chaffins will share the award winning book, “All the Way to the Top," which was inspired by her story. The book addresses the struggle for inclusion and the fight for equality in our country. Ms. Keelan-Chaffins will also encourage young people to use their voices to make a positive difference.

ASL interpretation will be provided at this event.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease is 100% fatal. Can I count on you to join me in helping families with ALS .
